Tips I've learned - Good for new players:

Make sure you have a CONFIDENT friend before you waste time playing - You can't get a good job without being happy and confident. ENROLL in KUNG FU right away and make sure you have money for it each week. Knowing KUNG FU (or KICK BOXING) keeps you from getting mugged. Don't buy anything for your home until you get a DOG - Your stuff will get stolen without one. You only need a CAT if you get a stressful job. If you want to get ahead fast - Don't spend money on friends who are neutral. Just use them as filler for extra kudos or to play chess and watch TV.

Spend most of your time at the start with one or two friends and set the options for EASY the first year or until you aren't a WAITER anymore. Anyway - those are the things that helped me out during the first years. Also CLEAN YOUR OWN HOUSE until you make over 25,000. Get CABLE as soon as you can afford it. The comedy channel will make you happy when your job doesn't - BIG HELP in getting better pay. Took me 3 months playing just to figure these out. - Submitted by korani
